Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 5, 2026
In short (and in plain English)
- You don't create an account or give an email to take the tests.
- Your results stay in your browser only — we don't receive or store them.
- We use Google Analytics (audience measurement) and Google AdSense (ads), which use cookies.
- You can delete all your data at any time on the Your Atlas page.
- We don't sell your data.
1. Who is responsible
This policy applies to the site yourselfatlas.com (“Your Self Atlas”, “we”). For any question about privacy or your data, contact contact@yourselfatlas.com.
2. What data is processed
2.1. Test results
When you finish a test, the result is saved locally in your browser (localStorage technology), to feed the “Your Atlas” page. This data is not sent to our servers — in practice, we have no application server or database. It stays on your device until you delete it.
2.2. Usage data (analytics)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used (page views, device, traffic source, events such as “test completed”). Google may collect identifiers and IP addresses and use cookies for this. This data helps us improve the site.
2.3. Advertising
We show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on visits to this and other sites. You can manage personalization at myadcenter.google.com and google.com/settings/ads.
2.4. External sources and resources
We load typography from Google Fonts. When those files load, your IP is processed by Google. We don't use this to identify you.
2.5. Feedback comments
If you use the comment field after a result, that text is currently not transmitted or stored by us — it only serves as feedback within your session. Should this change in the future, we'll update this policy first.
3. Cookies
Cookies essential to basic functioning: we don't use any (the site works without login). The cookies present come from Google Analytics and Google AdSense. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and adjust ad personalization via the links above. Blocking cookies does not prevent you from taking the tests.
4. Who we share with
We share usage/advertising data only with the providers that make the site possible — Google (Analytics, AdSense and Fonts). We don't sell, rent or hand over personal data to third parties for their own purposes. See Google's practices at policies.google.com/privacy.
5. Legal basis and purposes (GDPR)
If you're in the European Economic Area or the UK, we process data on the basis of legitimate interest (measuring audience and sustaining the service with ads) and your consent, where applicable, for non-essential cookies. The purposes are: to operate and improve the site, display advertising and ensure security. Where consent is required, a consent banner lets you accept or refuse non-essential cookies.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port or restrict the processing of your data, and to object or withdraw consent (for example under the GDPR in Europe/UK, or the CCPA/CPRA in California). Because results stay in your browser, you can delete them instantly yourself using the “Delete my data” button on Your Atlas, or by clearing this site's data in your browser. For any other request, write to contact@yourselfatlas.com.
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under U.S. state privacy laws, and we do not knowingly use it for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond the standard Google AdSense settings you control via the links above.
7. Children
Your Self Atlas is not directed to children under 13 (or under the minimum age required in your country, such as 16 in parts of the EU). If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has sent us data, contact us so we can take action.
8. Security and retention
The site is served over HTTPS. As we keep no database of results, retention of that data is up to you (it stays in your browser). Analytics/advertising data follows Google's retention policies.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. When we do, we change the date at the top. Significant changes will be flagged on the site.
10. Contact
